Personal Prayer
Praise the meek and gentle Christ, who has power to demolish strongholds (2 Cor. 10:1, 4). Thank God for his truth and power, which are so different from the world’s. Confess times of placing ultimate reliance in mere human resources. Commit to putting your confidence and pride in the Lord (10:17). Ask God to guide you to live in such a way that you receive his commendation, no matter what the world says (10:18).
For Your Family and Friends
Pray for your households to be founded upon the principles of God rather than the mere “wisdom” of this world. Ask God to guide and protect your home with his truth.
For the Church
Pray for those in the church’s education ministries. Ask God to give them the wisdom and courage to lead God’s people to “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God . . . [taking] captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (10:5).
For the Kingdom
Pray for God’s people in all walks of life to “aim for perfection” (2 Cor. 13:11). Ask God to use their clear thinking to extend his kingdom and righteousness.
For People to Know Jesus
Pray by name for unsaved friends and neighbors. Ask God to break through ungodly thinking and replace it with the Truth who can set them free.
